ABILENE, Texas – Tarleton Track and Field will compete against their fellow WAC foe and others at the Oliver Jackson Twilight on Thursday.
The meet will be the seventh outdoor meet for the Texans and the final meet before the WAC Outdoor Championships.
The first event of the day will start at 10:30 a.m. with the javelin throw. The men's triple jump will be the last field event to start at 5:30 p.m.
At 3:20 p.m., the 4x100m relay will start the events on the track. The 5000m relay will be the final race of the meet and is scheduled to start at 7:25 p.m.
Teams that the Texans will be competing against will include McMurry, Sam Houston, UT Arlington, Angelo State, Hardin Simmons, Jacksonville, Western Texas, TCU, Southwestern, Ranger, Dallas University, Hill College, and Abilene Christian.

Brandon McKissick is currently eighth in the WAC for his time of 47.60 seconds in the 400m. He will compete in the event on Thursday in the first heat.
Caterrin Cox and
Cornelius Coleman have both recorded times in the 110m hurdles that put them in the top eight of the conference. Both athletes will compete in the first heat in Abilene.
Noah Newman and
Brady Sisneroz currently hold the second and fifth fastest times recorded in the WAC for the 400m hurdles. They will look to improve those times on Thursday.
Jordan Rae holds the fourth highest jump, while
Rylee Hennig is in a tie for seventh in the WAC for the high jump event. Both athletes will compete in the event in Abilene on Thursday.
