STEPHENVILLE, Texas – The best parties involve glow-themed materials, so students and fans will want to be at the Wisdom Volleyball Gym on Aug. 21 for one of the best Tarleton Athletics events of the year.
Texan Volleyball is hosting a glow-themed "Block Party" on Monday, Aug. 21, to help kick off Tarleton State University's T-Week, welcoming students back to Stephenville with a night of fun.
The Volleyball Block Party will work in conjunction with Tarleton State's Yell Contest. The Yell Contest is set to begin at 8 p.m. in Wisdom Gym, and the Volleyball Block Party will begin after that in the Wisdom Volleyball Gym, loosely set for a 9 p.m. beginning that will last one hour.
Students and fans are encouraged to don bright, neon colors. Tarleton Athletics will distribute glow giveaways to all in attendance to light up the fun. DJ Quan is set to return to help make the Wisdom Volleyball Gym a loud and memorable event.
Each Texan on the 2023 volleyball team will be introduced, along with the coaching staff, with several fun games to follow.
The Texans will begin their 2023 campaign on Friday, Aug. 25, with the Texan Invitational at Wisdom Volleyball Gym. Their first match will be at 9:30 a.m. against Prairie View A&M, and they'll play again that Friday night against Northern Arizona at 7:30 p.m. Tarleton will also host Arkansas-Pine Bluff (12:30 p.m.) and Incarnate Word (7:30 p.m.) on Saturday, Aug. 26.
