Tarleton State Women’s Basketball announces 2025-26 promotional schedule

STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Following its season-opening win in the first regular season basketball game played at the EECU Center, Tarleton State Women's Basketball announced its 2025-26 promotional schedule on Thursday.

There will be 13 promotional games for the Texans covering their 13 remaining home contests.

Next up is Education Day for Tarleton State Women's Basketball on Friday, Nov. 7, as local schools from the Stephenville area will be in attendance to make it a fun and loud environment for all.

On Sunday, Nov. 9, the Texans will host their first of three scheduled Sunday Study Breaks, as they encourage Tarleton State students to take a study break and attend the game, plus receive free food in the process. Tarleton State students will receive a voucher upon entry at the game for free food at the concession stands on Sundays. That will be in effect for the Nov. 9 game against Houston Christian, the Nov. 16 game against McNeese, and the Dec. 7 game against Texas A&M-San Antonio.

Also on Dec. 7 is Faith and Family Day, with local church groups in attendance. That is a doubleheader day with Texan Men's Basketball, with the same promotion for both games.

On Dec. 29 will be 'Tis Still the Season night at the EECU Center, with last-ditch efforts to play Christmas music and holiday themes before the new year. There will be a hot chocolate bar at the game and families are encouraged to attend to watch their Texan family in action.

On Jan. 15 will be Tarleton State's Purple Out game, as the Texans will provide free purple shirts to early arriving fans, and everyone in attendance is encouraged to wear purple.

On Jan. 17, the Texans will host a Youth Team Bonding game, as they invite local youth teams to join Tarleton State at the EECU Center as the team takes on Utah Tech.

On Jan. 21 will be a Tarleton State Hall Call, as the women's basketball team will make a personal appearance at residence halls across campus and encourage a great student turnout.

On Feb. 5, the Texans will host a March Madness Push, as they invite championship club teams from Tarleton State Rec Sports to attend and participate in a March Madness style tournament to win a championship belt. Throughout February will also be opportunities for students to be entered in to win a Spring Break Giveaway trip. Full details of that will be announced in January.

On Feb. 7 will be Rodeo Day, as the Texans will host a western themed game and invite the rodeo community in particular to attend for a day of fun.

On Feb. 14, Valentine's Day, the Texans will host Show Some Love Day as they take on rival Abilene Christian. Tarleton State invites fans to trade in a different university's T-shirt and get a Tarleton State shirt in return. Shirts that are traded in will be donated to a local organization. The Texans will also host "lovely" themes throughout, including a blind date halftime show.

On Feb. 26, it will be Bleed Purple Night, as the Texans will have a special school-themed giveaway in the final Purple Thursday game of the women's basketball season.

On Feb. 28 will mark Senior Day for the Texans as they host their final regular season contest. Tarleton State will have a special invitation for senior citizens, in advance of celebrating the seniors on the court.
