WEEK AT A GLANCE: Road games and events fill the schedule following Tarleton State’s Family Weekend

After record crowds at games and events in Stephenville last week for Tarleton State's Family Weekend, Tarleton State Athletics' programs will be on the road all of this week.
 
TEXAN WOMEN'S GOLF Tarleton State Women's Golf begins their second tournament of the fall campaign at the Kalispel Invitational on Monday at the Kalispel Country Club in Spokane, Washington. The Texans will be competing in the 14-team field in their first ever trip to the state of Washington. The 54-hole, three-round event hosted by Eastern Washington will kick off on Monday with the first two rounds. Tuesday will host the third and final round with all rounds played at the Kalispel Country Club. Darianys Guzman will lead the Texans playing out of the number one spot. Following the Dorado, Puerto Rico, native is Lou Deltombe and Gina Chen. Playing in the fourth spot is Kansas State transfer Natalia Fiel Ros who competed as an individual last time out for the Texans. Rebeca Fernandez rounds out the rotation for the Texans in the fifth slot.
 
TEXAN VOLLEYBALL begins conference play this week following a 6-6 mark in non-conference action. The Texans will begin their 12-match WAC slate on Thursday at California Baptist at 7 p.m. CT, followed by a Saturday 2 p.m. CT match at Utah Valley. Tarleton State just went 2-1 in the Texan Classic, with sweeps of Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Louisiana Tech. Both CBU and Utah Valley are 4-8 overall this year.
 
TEXAN SOCCER just went 4-0-1 on its five-game homestand and is now 6-2-2 on the season, clinching the best non-conference record in program history. Like Tarleton State Volleyball, the Texans will also begin conference play this week against CBU and Utah Valley, although the opponents are flipped – Tarleton State will begin at Utah Valley on Thursday at 8 p.m. CT and then at California Baptist on Sunday at 8 p.m. CT. In Tarleton State's last game, the Texans won 9-0 against Schreiner at home, and concluded the game with Emma Barnes No. 8 in the nation in save percentage and No. 10 in goals against average, plus Stevie Reynolds found herself No. 1 in the national leaderboard in total points, No. 2 in total goals and No. 9 in goals per game.
 
TEXAN TENNIS is back in action following a strong outing at its first event of the fall season. This week, the Texans will play in Abilene at a three-day event dubbed the ACU Invite from Friday-Sunday. The Texans just posted a 21-3 combined singles record and 9-3 doubles record at the Cowgirl Invite on Sept. 12-14. The Texans had four players who posted a perfect 3-0 record, including seniors Emma Persson and Adeliya Mukhutdinova to go with freshmen Aya Ishi and Marissa Minetti.

TICKETS are available for all of the upcoming home events online at TarletonSports.com/tickets. The ticket office is open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Memorial Stadium. Student tickets are available for free to Tarleton State students from any campus with a valid university ID number but must be ordered in advance at TarletonSports.com/tickets.
