WEEK AT A GLANCE: Texan Baseball hosts Baylor Tuesday, Men’s Basketball Senior Day Thursday

Many Tarleton State Athletics programs are on the road this week, but there will be two major home games in Stephenville, Texas. On Tuesday at 6 p.m., Tarleton State Baseball will host Baylor, then on Thursday at 7 p.m., Tarleton State Men's Basketball will host Senior Day, facing UT Arlington, at the EECU Center.

TEXAN BASEBALL will host Baylor on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Tarleton State Baseball Complex. Tarleton State will be giving away autographed team items throughout the game, plus there is the usual Tuesday game day meal, and for $18, fans can receive two hot dogs, two chips and two drinks. Tarleton State is 5-2 at home this season and has yet to play a true road game, with four neutral site matchups played at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, and La Moderna Field in Cleburne, Texas. Both the Texans and Bears are 6-5 overall this season, with Baylor pulling out a 10-inning 6-5 victory against No. 11 Ole Miss this weekend. Later in the week, the Texans will play their first true road games of 2026, as they head to Albuquerque, New Mexico, to face the New Mexico Lobos in a four-game series. They'll square off on Friday at 3 p.m. CT, Saturday at 1 p.m. CT and 4 p.m. CT, and then Sunday at 1 p.m. CT.

TEXAN MEN'S BASKETBALL will play its regular season finale at home, Senior Day at the EECU Center on Thursday at 7 p.m. The Texans will take on UT Arlington and celebrate their four outgoing seniors in a pregame ceremony; Freddy Hicks, Cam McDowell, Ocypher Owens and Chris Mpaka. This is the final regular season basketball game at the EECU Center overall in 2025-26, and to help celebrate the first season played in the new arena, Sodexo is offering $6 beer at the game.

TEXAN BEACH VOLLEYBALL will play four matches in Belton, Texas, coming off of their first wins of the year. Tarleton State will take on Mary Hardin-Baylor on Friday at 10 a.m., Central Arkansas on Friday at 2 p.m., Texas A&M-Kingsville on Saturday at 10 a.m. and Sam Houston on Saturday at 2 p.m. The sun was shining in Stephenville for Tarleton State Beach Volleyball's first home matches in nearly two years, and the Texans responded by winning every single set in dominant fashion against Concordia last week. The Texans (2-4) won their first matches of the year in the second week of the season, rolling Concordia (0-4) in the doubleheader 5-0 and 5-0. The most points the Texans allowed in any set was 12, as they won all 10 matches in straight sets.

TEXAN MEN's GOLF is riding momentum of one of their top performances of the season and heads to the Golden Nugget Invitational at the Country Club at Golden Nugget starting Monday. Tarleton State is coming off a runner-up finish in its last tournament, tying for second place with a 54-hole score of 852 at even par as a team at the Border Olympics. The Texans finished just two strokes behind Houston, who is currently nationally-ranked at No. 54. The 852 total marked the second-lowest 54-hole team score since Tarleton State transitioned to Division I competition.

TEXAN WOMEN'S GOLF will be in Puerto Rico this week for a three-day, three-round tournament Tuesday-Thursday. The Puerto Rico Shootout is at Palmas Del Mar in Humacao, Puerto Rico. In Tarleton State's last tournament, Lou Deltombe placed in the top-20 to lead the Texans to a sixth-place overall finish at the Texas Golf Throwdown at The Woodlands Country Club. The Texans placed sixth overall in the strong field that featured a pair of nationally-ranked programs, Texas A&M (No. 6) and Iowa State (No. 40).

TEXAN TENNIS will continue a five-match road trip on Saturday and Sunday, facing off UMKC on Saturday at 12 p.m., then Tulsa on Sunday at 10 a.m., both matches in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Texans have had tight matches as of late, three 4-3 decisions over the last four. Last week, the Texans knocked off App State at home 4-3, then dropped a 4-3 final at UTSA on Sunday.

TEXAN SOFTBALL finished 3-2 at the UNM Invitational in Albuquerque, New Mexico, this past weekend with wins over UTEP, New Mexico and Houston Christian. Tarleton State is now 14-7 overall on the year, and they'll be back on the road for another tournament this upcoming weekend, the San Marcos Showdown Friday-Sunday. There the Texans will square off against Texas A&M twice (Friday at 11 a.m. and Saturday at 11 a.m.), Texas State twice (Friday at 3:30 p.m. and Sunday at 1:15 p.m.) and Saint Francis (Saturday at 1:15 p.m.) once.

TEXAN WOMEN'S BASKETBALL will play its regular season finale at UT Arlington on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the College Park Center. The Texans are currently the No. 5 seed in the standings, most likely facing Utah Valley in the WAC Tournament in Las Vegas next week to open the postseason play.
