WEEK AT A GLANCE: Women’s Golf and Beach Volleyball play conference tournaments, Softball and Baseball both at home

Tarleton State Tennis just won a WAC Tournament championship on Sunday, and now both Tarleton State Women's Golf and Tarleton State Beach Volleyball will pursue their title dreams, with their respective conference tournaments this week. Texan Women's Golf plays in the WAC Championship Monday-Wednesday, then Texan Beach Volleyball plays in the C-USA Championship Thursday-Saturday. In Stephenville this week, both Texan Softball and Texan Baseball will be at home.

TEXAN WOMEN'S GOLF will look to defend their conference title at the 2026 WAC Women's Golf Championship on Monday through Wednesday on the Hills Course at the Clubs of Stonebridge Ranch in McKinney, Texas. The Texans were seeded third in the pre-championship rankings. The Texans will be using all five golfers in their lineup. Louise Depadt will be slotted first followed by Lou Deltombe. Gina Chen is slated third followed by Natalia Fiel Ros and Darianys Guzman. The field for the WAC also consists of Abilene Christian, California Baptist, Southern Utah, UT Arlington, Utah Tech and Utah Valley. The Texans won their first WAC Championship last season, and Louise Depadt claimed the individual crown. The Purple and White won by three strokes shooting an 876, 12-over par. Individually, Depadt won over ACU's Ryann Honea by four strokes. This season, the squad has posted a pair of top three team finishes in the spring. The Purple and White opened the spring with a second-place performance at the Texas State Invitational. In their second to last tournament of the regular season, the team posted a third-place finish at the Riverbend Intercollegiate.

TEXAN BEACH VOLLEYBALL opens the 2026 Conference USA Beach Volleyball Championship against Sam Houston Thursday at 8:30 a.m. CT. The Texans are slotted as the 8-seed in the tournament, which will commence at Sugar Beach in Youngsville, Louisiana, Thursday-Saturday. The postseason conference tournament is a double-elimination bracket with a single-elimination championship match competing for the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship. The winner of the Tarleton State-Sam Houston match will face 1-seed Florida Atlantic on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. CT. The winner of that match will advance in the winner's bracket to face the winner of the match between 4-seed South Florida and 5-seed Tulane. That match will be Friday at 10 a.m. CT. The loser of a potential match against 1-seed Florida Atlantic will drop to the contender's bracket to face the loser of USF-Tulane on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. CT. The loser of the Tarleton State-Sam Houston match will drop to the contender's bracket and play on Thursday at 4 p.m. CT against the loser of 2-seed UAB and 7-seed UTEP. The victor of that potential match would advance in the contender's bracket to play Thursday at 7 p.m. CT against the loser of 3-seed Florida International and 6-seed Missouri State. Tarleton State Beach Volleyball enters conference play on a four-match winning streak, its longest winning streak in program history. Tarleton State Beach Volleyball, in its third year as a program, has the most wins in a single-season in team history with 10.

TEXAN SOFTBALL will play four games this week, coming back to Texas after a conference sweep at Utah Valley with an active seven-game winning streak. The Texans will play at North Texas on Wednesday at 6 p.m., then host the final home regular season series Friday-Saturday against Utah Tech, a Friday doubleheader with times at 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., then a Saturday game at 12 p.m. On Wednesday, the Texans and Mean Green will rematch two weeks after Tarleton State beat them in Stephenville 6-1. On Friday the Texans will be giving away Texans Are Here license plate brackets to first arriving fans at both games. On Saturday, it is Senior Day for the Texans, as they'll celebrate their outgoing 2026 class. Tarleton State has won seven straight games and is now 9-3 in WAC play, 31-17 overall. The Texans are second in the conference, just a game back of the WAC leader California Baptist.

TEXAN BASEBALL will play four games this week, starting Tuesday at Texas Tech at 6:30 p.m. This weekend, the Texans will host Utah Valley for three games, with a Friday 6 p.m. first game, a Saturday 3 p.m. second game, and Sunday 12 p.m. third game. Tuesday will be Tarleton State's fourth Big 12 game of the season. The Texans are 2-1 in such games this year, both wins coming against Baylor. On Friday, it will be First Responder Appreciation, with all first responders getting into the game for free, plus families of first responders can purchase discounted tickets for $5. On Saturday, it will be Youth Sports Day, as the Sport Impact Lab will be hosting an event near the Tarleton State Baseball Complex. Texan Baseball won another WAC series this past weekend, and will welcome the WAC Tournament defending champion Wolverines. Tarleton State is tied-second in the WAC standings at 5-4, with Utah Tech leading the group at 5-1.

TEXAN TRACK AND FIELD has just two more regular season meets before the WAC Championships. This week, the Texans will head to Baylor to compete at the Michael Johnson Invitational Friday-Saturday. The Texans crowned 15 event champions across the two days. The Purple and White set 12 new program top 10 performance bests. Tarleton State also posted seven new facility records across the two days. At the conclusion of the meet on Saturday evening, the Texans honored their 18 seniors with a special presentation and gift.
