LAS VEGAS — The Western Athletic Conference announced the brackets for the men's basketball and women's basketball postseason tournaments, and Tarleton State will open the event in Las Vegas with games on Wednesday and Thursday.
 
Tarleton State Men's Basketball is the 7-seed in the WAC Tournament, and will face rival 6-seed Abilene Christian on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. CT, 5:30 p.m. PT. The Wildcats are 2-1 against the Texans this season, with Tarleton State winning the last matchup, a 65-62 overtime victory at home. If the Texans win that game, they will then face 3-seed Utah Tech on Thursday at 10:30 p.m. CT, 8:30 p.m. PT. The winner of that game faces 2-seed California Baptist on Friday at 10:30 p.m. CT, 8:30 p.m. PT. The WAC Tournament championship is Saturday at 11 p.m. CT, 9 p.m. PT.
 
Tarleton State Women's Basketball is the 5-seed in the WAC Tournament, and will face 4-seed Utah Valley on Thursday at 2 p.m. CT, 12 p.m. PT, to open its postseason slate. The winner of that game will face 1-seed California Baptist on Friday at 2 p.m. CT, 12 p.m. PT. The WAC Tournament championship is Saturday at 2:30 p.m. CT, 12:30 p.m. PT.
 
On Wednesday, after the men's basketball tournament opener, Tarleton State is hosting a fan event at Hard Rock Cafe, a social and dinner event in an exclusive space to celebrate and cheer on the Texans. The event will begin at 8:30 p.m. PT, and it is free for all to attend.
 
This the final "WAC Vegas" in 2026, and Tarleton State fans won't want to miss the last leg of a long-standing tradition. All-session ticket packages are available for $135, which grants fans access to all 12 games played throughout the four-day tournament for both men's basketball (six games) and women's basketball (six games).
