STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Tarleton State Men's basketball head coach Eric Haut announced his fifth transfer signee since being tabbed the new head coach of the Texans with the inking of Jac Mani.
Mani heads to the Texans for his fifth season in collegiate basketball. The incoming senior spent his first three seasons at UC Davis before spending the 2025-26 campaign at Fresno State. The 6-10 forward originally hails from Beverly Hills, Calif, he was a class of 2022 graduate at Beverly Hills HS.
"Jac Mani is the kind of versatile forward that is a perfect fit for how we want to play offensively," said Haut. "At 6'10, he gives you a strong presence in the paint but can also stretch the defense with his ability to step out and knock down shots from deep. He also has a high basketball IQ, understands spacing, reads the floor well, and knows how to create advantages from multiple positions. That flexibility will allow us to use him all over the court and create mismatches on the offensive end. Welcome to the 'Ville, Jac! Can't wait to get to work!"
Last year with the Bulldogs he played in 26 games all coming off the bench. He averaged 6.0 points and 2.7 rebounds in 11.9 minutes per game. He shot 45 percent from the floor and 30 percent from beyond the arc. Mani posted five games scoring in double figures. The junior scored a season-high 21 points against UC San Diego (11/12), making eight of his nine shots from the floor including two-for-three from deep. He also added seven boards and two steals in 24 minutes of action. He scored in double digits in back-to-back games against UCSD (11/12) and Utah Valley (11/15).
"I chose to commit to Tarleton State because I truly believe in the vision Coach E has for me and for the program," said Mani. "From the moment we talked, it was clear he had a detailed plan to help me develop both on and off the court, while also building something special with this team. The direction of the program and the culture they're creating makes me confident we're going to compete for championships. When I came on my visit, the entire coaching staff made me feel at home right away, and that genuine support and belief in me made this decision feel like the right one."
Prior to his time at Fresno State, he began his collegiate career at UC Davis. In his three-year career he played in 18 games all of the bench. He averaged 2.6 points, 1.1 rebounds and shot 33.3 percent from three-point land in 6.2 minutes per game.
Mani played just three games in his first year with the Aggies before he suffered an injury redshirted. In his second collegiate game, he scored 11 points against Cal Maritime (11/10). In his three games he averaged 5.0 points and 1.7 rebounds in 10 minutes per game.
In his second season with UC Davis as a redshirt-freshman, Mani played in five games in the second half of the season. He recorded 10 points, four rebounds and two blocks in the 2023-24 season. In his final game of the season, he scored four points against Long Beach State (3/9).
Mani played 10 games as a sophomore for the Aggies in 2024-25. He began the season with his second double-figure scoring game of his career against Cal Maritime scoring 11 and grabbing six boards. He averaged 2.2 points and 1.7 rebounds in 5.5 minutes per game in his third and final season with the Aggies.
Mani was a First Team All-League selection out of Beverly Hills High School as a junior. That season, he scored 18 points a game. As a senior, he averaged a double-double averaging 20 points and 12 boards.
He is the son of Shiri and Joe Mani and has four siblings, Jon, Sophia, Maya and Simon. Mani enjoys watching football and hanging out with friends and family. His brother, Jon, transferred to UNC-Greensboro for the 2026-27 slate after starting out at Denver and Colorado. He also enjoys cooking.
