STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Before one of the most anticipated football season openers of 2026, Tarleton State will host a special pregame show in Texan Alley.
On Aug. 29, the Texans will host a Tarleton State Gameday Show, presented by Niccoya. The show will be live from 6-7:30 p.m. in Texan Alley, leading into the Tarleton State Football's season opener against Prairie View A&M.
ESPN Senior Writer and Personality Dan Wetzel will serve as one of three co-hosts throughout the event, along with Tarleton State's radio play-by-play lead
Byron Anderson and broadcaster Kendra Sheehan.
There will be several other guests on the show throughout the 90 minutes, including Texas A&M System Chancellor Glenn Hegar, Tarleton State President Dr. James Hurley, Tarleton State Vice President and Director of Athletics
Steve Uryasz, Prairie View A&M President Dr. Tomikia P. LeGrande and host of The Bluebloods Podcast and FCS analyst Zach McKinnell.
Throughout the show, the group will preview the FCS season, recap the results from games played earlier in the week, preview the first Chancellor's Cup matchup that night, and give away a TV courtesy of Gifford's Electronics.
The Tarleton State Gameday Show, presented by Niccoya, will take place in the southeast corner of Texan Alley.
