DURANT, Okla. - Tarleton's offense connected on just 27 kills and a .155 hitting percentage in a straight-set loss (21-25, 11-25, 21-25) to Southeastern Oklahoma at Bloomer Sullivan Gym in Durant, Okla. on Saturday night.
Erin Lynn led the TexAnn offense coming up with seven kills on the evening.
Shay Gracy and
Rachel Wolf followed with six kills each and just three remaining TexAnns came away with one or more offensive point.
Jessie Hartman had been averaging over 35 assists per match over the last three weeks, but tonight she assisted in just 20 of Tarleton's 27 kills - her lowest total since Sept. 5, where she managed just 12 assists against Drury. Hartman did however record her seventh double-double of the season, collecting a team-high 14 digs.
SOSU's Jordan Jesberg led the match with 13 kills with a .409 attacking percentage. She recorded a match-high 19 kills as well for a double-double. Alex Cassell and Lunden Azuara each had three of the Savage Storm's 11 total service aces.
The TexAnns fall to 8-17 on the season and 3-5 in the Lone Star Conference. The loss currently drops the TexAnns out of LSC postseason tournamnet contention with five conference matches still left to play. SOSU improved to 18-10 and 4-3 in the LSC.
The TexAnns return to action next Thursday, Oct. 22, when the team travels to Kingsville to face the Javelinas. First service is set for 7 p.m.
