WICHITA FALLS - Tarleton's
Shay Gracy was named to the all-tournament team following her performance at the MSU Hampton Inn & Suites Invitational this weekend in Wichita Falls.
Gracy, a senior middle blocker for the TexAnns, averaged a team-high 2.75 kills per game over four matches, posting a total of 44 kills with a .227 attacking percentage. The Stephenville native collected 12 blocks during the two-day tournament as well with four of them being solo blocks.
Emporia State (Kan.) placed two players on the team including senior defensive specialist Amy Byfield and junior setter Ting Liu, while Drury junior setter Austin Warren earned all-tournament accolades for the Panthers.
Emporia State and Drury went undefeated in four tournament matches.
Northwood (Mich.) junior outside hitter Sledjana Mitrovic, Southwest Baptist senior outside hitter Kelsey Stewart, Midwestern State senior middle blocker Sesley Graves and Central Oklahoma junior outside hitter Zuela Adom round out the all-tournament squad.
Gracy and the TexAnns wil return to action this weekend in the TexAnns Invitational that is set to begin at 12:30 on Friday, Sept. 11 at the Tarleton Recreational Sports Center.
