EDMOND, OKLA. – The TexAnn volleyball team will look to make it four wins in a row when they head to Central Oklahoma Thursday, Oct. 21 to take on the Bronchos in Lone Star Conference action.
Tarleton has been effective that past few matches, bumping their hitting percentage to a .206 mark, while averaging 12.9 kills per game, 11.7 assists per game and 15 digs per game. They have recorded 135 aces and 126 blocks as well.
Jessie Hartman leads the TexAnns with 558 assists, while contributing 182 digs and 23 aces.
Shea McBrearty has recorded 351 digs and 34 aces for Tarleton, both highs for any of the TexAnns.
Danielle Barker has provided 301 assists, while
Rachel Wolf leads with 260 kills and
Flynn Harrell follows with 187 kills.
Catherine Cutbirth and
Monica Hamel anchor the defense with 60 and 50 blocks respectively.
The TexAnns are 17-7, with a 4-4 LSC mark, and will face a similar 17-7 Central Oklahoma squad, who is 6-3 in the conference and just one spot ahead of Tarleton in the standings.
The Bronchos are hitting just a .169 attack percentage, while recording 12.2 kills per game, 11.2 assists per game, and 17.5 digs per game.
Zuela Adom pilots Central Oklahoma with 292 kills and 58 blocks, while Kristen Wilson has added 246 kills, 27 aces and 302 digs.
Fleming Smurthwaite has contributed a phenomenal 676 assists for the Bronchos, while Amy Kangas is second with 124 assists. Ginger Gowen has 391 digs, while Tate Hardaker has 224 digs to secure the defense.
