TexAnns to participate in WBCA Pink Zone

STEPHENVILLE - The Tarleton TexAnn basketball team will host Texas A&M-Kingsville on Saturday, Feb. 20 and both teams will take part in Pink Zone night at Wisdom Gym. Pink Zone night is a nationwide initiative sponsored by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) that brings attention to breast cancer awareness.

All fans are encouraged to participate in this effort and attend the game wearing pink.

The WBCA Pink Zone initiative is a global, unified effort for the WBCA's nation of coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond. The window set aside for this year's initiative is February 12-21.

The WBCA's and Tarleton TexAnns' charity of choice is the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund®, in partnership with The V Foundation. The WBCA strongly encourages any donations collected from WBCA Pink Zone games to be given to the Fund.

Throughout the WBCA Pink Zone week, women's basketball teams and supporters across the nation will dedicate one game to raise breast cancer awareness and funding.

Tip-off on Saturday is set for 5 p.m.
