Lance Drake discussed Tarleton's performance on the day.
"I thought we had a good week of practice and it showed on the courts today," said Drake. "The girls were focused and executed most of the things we have worked on. This was Cowley's first match of the semester, but their play improved as the matches progressed. I am pleased with both singles and doubles and we will strive to improve this week."
The TexAnns have a couple of difficult matches in the next week when they face Ouachita Baptist, Delta State and Southwest Baptist.
