STEPHENVILLE - The Tarleton women's volleyball team will head to San Angelo Thursday night to prepare for five games in three days, starting with tonight's match-up with Angelo State at 7 p.m.
The TexAnns (3-1) will take on the Rambelles (5-0) in a regular season Lone Star Conference meeting tonight for Tarleton's first conference game of the year.
They will then stay in San Angelo for the Angelo State Tournament which begins Friday and ends Saturday. The TexAnns will face Texas-Permian Basin (2-3) and Edinboro (4-0) on Friday, finishing with Texas A&M-International (2-3) and Southeastern Oklahoma (0-5) on Saturday.
Tarleton is 3-1 on the year after a sucessful weekend in San Antonio at the St. Mary's Invitiational. As a team, Tarleton has a .203 hitting percentage and averages 12.39 kills per set.
Last weekend,
Flynn Harrell led the way with 58 kills, while
Nikki McNorton was second with 53 kills. McNorton earned all-tournament team honors after adding 28 blocks to her kill total.
Jessie Hartman was the main distributor with 117 assists, while
Danielle Barker contributed 74 assists. Defensively,
Breawn Waynes supplemented McNorton's total with 23 blocks.
