LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton enters the postseason tournament riding the momentum of an epic, five-set victory over No. 17 Angelo State in Stephenville last Saturday. The TexAnns fell behind 0-2 in the match before rallying behind a 20-kill performance from Jazmine Green, and her fellow seniors Stacie Murrah, Danielle Barker and Emily Klein, to give Tarleton its first win over the Rambelles since 2006.

SERIES HISTORY
After the teams split the regular season series – with each team defending their home court – Tarleton State trails the all-time series 14-16 dating back to 1984. The TexAnns have won five of the last six in the series with the loss on Nov. 12 in Commerce the first one since Oct. 9, 2010. The teams have met eight times on a neutral site with Tarleton winning just two, including the last game on a neutral court – a 3-0 sweep of the Lions on Nov. 13, 2008.

POSTSEASON AWARDS
Tarleton had five athletes recognized in the annual postseason awards banquet Wednesday night. Stacie Murrah and Emily Klein were named the Co-Offensive and Libero of the Year, respectively. Murrah was first-team all-LSC while Klein was second-team all-conference. Joining Klein as a second-team all-LSC selection was Danielle Barker and Jazmine Green. Katie Covell was honorable mention all-conference. Tarleton also had two academic all-conference players as Murrah and Barker each earned the honor.

TARLETON IN THE TOURNAMENT
In the ninth year under head coach Mary Schindler, Tarleton State is making its seventh appearance – and the eighth appearance in the school's NCAA history. Schindler has led the TexAnns to the postseason tournament to the semifinals in each of the last three seasons. Tarleton's only quarterfinal exit under Schindler came in 2007.

KLEIN'S PURSUIT OF 600
The LSC Libero of the Year, Emily Klein, currently holds the Tarleton single season record for digs in a season with the 599 she had last season. This season, she enters Thursday's game with 581 and is looking to become the first TexAnn in school history to record 600 digs in a single season.

3,000/1,000 CLUB FOR BARKER
In addition to her efforts in becoming the school's all-time leader in assists, Danielle Barker has also topped the 1,000 dig mark for her illustrious career. With 284 digs this season, Barker currently has 1,004 in her career.

WHAT'S AT STAKE
Tarleton will continue playing as long as they win. The TexAnns were not in the top 10 in the latest NCAA Regional Rankings, so Tarleton will need to win the tournament and received the automatic berth to reach the NCAA Playoffs.
