Â
The Lions are just 5-14 inside Wisdom Gym during the
Lonn Reisman era, having won just twice in the last 10 games played in Stephenville. A&M-Commerce's lat win against the Texans on the road came back on Nov. 25, 2008, when the Lions downed the home team 85-67.
Â
Last Time out for the Texans
Tarleton opened its contest against Eastern New Mexico with a 22-3 run and never looked back on the way to a 86-64 victory and the team's 17th straight win on the year. ENMU's offense struggled to just 3-of-25 shooting (.120) in the first 15 minutes of play and tallied a pair of scoring droughts that each lasted over seven minutes without a field goal.
Â
De'Andre Upchurch paced the Texan offense with a game-high 23, while
Chuck Guy logged his first career double-double with 14 points and a career-high 11 assists.
Emmanuel Andrews poured in 13 points for the Texans off the bench and
Tashawn Mabry tallied 10 points and a game-high seven rebounds.
Â
The Texans shot 50 percent from the field in the first half and then bettered that mark with a 59.1 percent effort in the final 20 minutes of play. Tarleton was better than 50 percent from downtown for the third time this season as the team went 11-for-19 for a 57.9 percent effort from beyond the arc.
Â
Scouting the Lions

Â
The Lions opened the season with eight straight wins and winning 11 of its first 12 contests. With a 13-5 overall mark, the Lions are just 2-5 in conference play having picked up wins over the Buffs and A&M-Kingsville (68-66).

Â
The Lions are averaging the second-most points in the conference with 82.9 points per game, but are also giving up 77.7 points per game to opposing teams, which ranks seventh out of eight teams in the league. Â
LaDon Carnegie leads the Lion offense with 14.3 points per game and is second on the team with a 50.4 shooting percentage from the field. He ranks second on the team with 6.0 rebounds per game, while Christian Macauley's 7.4 boards per game tops the squad.

Countdown to 550
With every Texan victory, head coach
Lonn Reisman keeps nearing the 550 career wins mark. Reisman, who is in his 26th season at Tarleton, now has 547 career wins heading into this Saturday's contest against the Lions. Reisman is now just three victories shy from earning his 550th career win. He would become just the 26th coach overall and ninth active NCAA Division II head coach to earn 550 wins. He would be the 83rd coach at both the D-1 and D-II levels to achieve the feat.
Â
Reisman picked up victory No. 500 back on Jan. 21, 2012 when Tarleton defeated A&M-Commerce 78-53 in Stephenville.
Â
Wild Streaks
The Texans are just one win away from recording the program's longest win streak since Tarleton became a senior college in 1961. The Texans have won a current school record 17 straight games twice since 1961 and the both have come under the direction of head coach
Lonn Reisman. The last time a Texan team achieved that accomplishment came in 2011-12 when they won 17 straight games from Nov. 22, 2011 through Feb. 1, 2012. Tarleton's first 17-game winning streak came back in the 1990-91 season.
Â
Home Sweet Home
The Texans are also just win away from tying the school's third longest home winning streak of 20 straight wins inside Wisdom Gym. The current 19-game winning streak, which dates back to Jan. 2, 2013, last season, is currently the fourth-longest home winning streak in school history.
Â
Tarleton's longest home win streak was a 33-game win streak that began on Jan. 22, 2005 and ran through Jan. 27, 2007. The Texans are now 355-64 (.847) overall inside Wisdom Gym under head coach
Lonn Reisman.

He was a key factor in Tarleton's defense holding opponents to just 43 percent shooting and averaging just 63.5 points per game.
Â
Basketball Program Earns First-ever Winning Record
For the first time since becoming a senior college in 1961, the Tarleton Basketball team has a winning record. Tarleton's 76-52 win over Cameron earlier this season gave the Texans an all-time record of 725-724 - marking the first time the program has eclipsed the .500 mark. Heading into this weekend, the Texans are now 727-724 all-time in the senior college era. Tarleton had an overall record of just 180-498 before head coach
Lonn Reisman took over, but behind Reisman's overall record of 546-226, the Texan's are finally a winning program.
