Series Information
The Texans lead the all-time series 35-31 after downing the Rams 80-54 in Stephenville earlier this season. Tarleton has won two consecutive games against Angelo and six of the last seven.

The Texans are 11-8 under head coach Lonn Reisman when playing the Rams in San Angelo. Before last season's loss to the Rams on the road, the Texans had won two straight inside Stephens arena.

Last Time out for the Texans
Tarleton played in back-to-back overtime games for the first time since the 2006-07 season and escaped Aggie Gym with a 75-74 win over Cameron. After trailing by as many as eight points late in the second quarter, the Texans chipped all the way back and managed to send the game into overtime.

De'Andre Upchurch and Tashawn Mabry scored seven of their combined 46 points in the overtime period and Chuck Guy's free throw with just three seconds left was all Tarleton needed to come away with the victory.

It was the first-ever overtime game against the Aggies and the win pushed Tarleton's road record to 4-0 this season.

Scouting the RAMS
The Rams are coming off a 77-75 home-win over Eastern New Mexico this past Saturday and have won two straight. ASU has won four of its last five games and six of its last eight.

Angelo State, who received votes in this week's NABC Poll, is 16-5 on the season and 6-3 in Lone Star Conference play. The Rams are currently alone in third place in the conference standings, one game ahead of the Greyhounds and one game behind Midwestern State.

The Rams are shooting 48.3 percent from the field this season, which includes a 34.8 percent effort from beyond the arc. ASU's 75.1 points per game currently ranks third in the league, while defensively the Rams rank fourth in the conference as they give up 69.0 points to opposing teams.

Kenny Williams leads the LSC in scoring with 17.9 points per game and ranks second in rebounding with 8.1 boards per contest. He is shooting 47.5 percent from the field on the year.

Bryan Hammond's 4.4 assists per game ranks fourth in the league, while his 75.0 free throw percentage ranks 11th overall among LSC players.

Texans in the NABC Poll
The Tarleton State men's basketball team dropped to No. 4 in the nation this week, falling just two spots from last week's No. 2 ranking after going 1-1 this past week.

The Texans have been ranked inside the NABC Top-25 for 80 different weeks since making its first-ever appearance in the poll back on Dec. 17, 2002. Including this week, Tarleton has been ranked inside the top 10 for 48 different weeks and has been a top five team for 31 weeks.

One More to 550
Tarleton head coach Lonn Reisman is just one win away from collecting his 550th career win.. Reisman, who is in his 26th season at Tarleton, now has 549 career wins heading into this Wednesday's contest against the Rams and has just 227 losses to go along with that winning record. He would become just the 26th coach overall and ninth active NCAA Division II head coach to earn 550 wins. He would be the 83rd coach at both the D-1 and D-II levels to achieve the feat.

Reisman picked up victory No. 500 back on Jan. 21, 2012 when Tarleton defeated A&M-Commerce 78-53 in Stephenville.

WINNING Streaks Snapped
With last Wednesday's loss to the Mustangs, the Texans snapped an 18-game winning streak along with a home winning streak that lasted for 20 consecutive games.

The Texans 18-0 start is the best start in school history since becoming a senior college in 1961, and the 18-game win streak was a school record as well.

Despite the loss, the Texans have faired well after snapping a win streak. Following its 17-game win streak in 2011-12, the Texans downed Arlington Baptist 77-54 in its next contest. After the 17-game win streak during the 1990-91 season, Tarleton defeated Sul Ross by 30 points, 81-51. Following the loss that snapped a school record 33-game home winning streak in 2007 the Texans defeated Angelo State 81-78.

Upchurch making most of Charity Stripe Appearances
Senior guard De'Andre Upchurch is 14 for his last 14 attempts from the free throw line after going 11-for-11 last Wednesday and a 3-for-3 effort in Lawton, Okla., this past Saturday.

Upchurch is shooting a team-best .864 percent from the charity stripe this season, having converted 57 of his 66 free throw attempts.

How Sweep it is
The Texans swept its season series against the Aggies with its 75-74 overtime win on the road this past Saturday. Tarleton swept the series from Cameron for the first time since the 2011-12 season and it marks the second series sweep over the Aggies in the past three years.

A win over ASU on Wednesday would give Tarleton its first season sweep over the Rams since the 2011-12 season and the third in the past four seasons.

75-Point streak remains Perfect
With Tarleton's 75-74 win over Cameron on Saturday, the Texans have now scored at least 75 points or more in all 20 games this season. The Texans have not scored 75 points or more in at least 20 games ever during the Lonn Reisman era.

Getting a block up
Tarleton junior forward Davene Carter recorded a pair of blocks in Saturday's win to give him 19 blocks on the season. Junior guard Damion Clemons has 19 blocks on the season as well, while senior forward Jon Cathey-Macklin leads the team with 22 blocks.

Tarleton's 4.4 blocks per game currently ranks first in the conference, tied with A&M-Commerce.
