Series Information
The Texans lead the all-time series 34-8 and have won three straight contest over the Greyhounds. Tarleton is 13-1 against ENMU dating all the way back to Feb. 6, 2008.

The Texans have a 14-5 record when playing the Greyhounds in Portales, N.M., after falling to ENMU in Greyhound Arena last season. Prior to last season's defeat, the Texans had won five straight games and 13 of the previous 14 meetings at ENMU. Despite the last two defeats to the Greyhounds on the road, the losses have been by just three points.

Last Time out for the Texans
The Texans overcame a hot-shooting West Texas A&M team that sank 75 percent of its three-point attempts and had at least a six-point lead in the first half. Tarleton came out though with a 10-6 run to open the second half and later used a 9-0 run to take an 11-point lead.

Tarleton outscored the Buffs 21-11 over final 9:30 of play en route to a 13-point victory and come away with the regular-season sweep over WTAMU for the first time since the 2009-10 season.

Big Game for JCM
Jon Cathey-Macklin had what could easily be argued as the best game of his career in Wednesday's night win over WTAMU. The senior forward punished the Buffs in the paint, pulling down six offensive boards and seven on the defensive end of the court to finish the night with a career-high 13 boards. JCM added eight points for the Texans and tallied three blocks as well.

Scouting the Greyhounds
Since falling to the Texans back on Jan. 25, the Greyhounds have went 4-3, but are on a current two-game losing streak heading into Saturday's match-up.

ENMU won three straight following the loss in Stephenville, but after a win over Cameron on Feb. 12, the Greyhounds dropped an overtime game to Midwestern and were just downed by A&M-Commerce in Commerce on Wednesday.

ENMU is 6-3 when playing inside Greyhound Arenas this season, which includes a 3-2 mark against conference foes. The Greyhounds have won four of its previous five contest at home, dating back to Jan. 18.

ENMU is in the middle of the pack in most LSC statistical categories. The Greyhounds currently rank fourth in the league with 74.6 points per game and rank fifth in scoring defense, with 70.6 points to opposing teams this season.
The Greyhounds are struggling on the offensive side of the floor though, shooting just a seventh-best .433 field goal percentage heading into the weekend.

Rodney Blackmon leads the Greyhounds in scoring with 15.7 points per contest. He is currently tied with Tarleton's Chuck Guy for fifth in the league in scoring average. Blackmon also leads his team with 78 assists on the year and 41 steals.

Cornelius Cammock, a transfer from Abilene Christian last season, leads the team with 5.2 rebounds per game, but Phil Henry is right behind him with 5.1 boards per game himself. Henry does lead the team, however, with 41 blocked shots on the year.

Texans in the NABC Poll
The Texans moved up to No. 3 this week after going 2-0 in its last two contests. Tarleton earned 363 total points, 20 points behind Drury who came in at No. 2 this week. Metro State stayed atop the standings at No. 1 this week.

The Texans have been ranked inside the NABC Top-25 for 81 different weeks since making its first-ever appearance in the poll back on Dec. 17, 2002. Including this week, Tarleton has been ranked inside the top 10 for 49 different weeks and has been a top five team for 32 weeks.

Reisman notches career-win No. 550
Tarleton head coach Lonn Reisman earned his 550th career win lase Wednesday when the Texans downed Angelo State 72-64 in San Angelo. Reisman, who is in his 26th season at Tarleton, is now 552-227 all-time in his career. Reisman became just the 26th coach overall and ninth active NCAA Division II head coach to earn 550 wins. He is the 83rd coach at both the D-1 and D-II levels to achieve the feat.

Tarleton back to a Winning Program
With an 83-81 victory over Midwestern State back on Jan. 15, the Tarleton Texan basketball program became a .500 team for just the second time since becoming a senior college back in 1961.

The Texans dropped its first ever game as a senior college and then won its first contest on Nov. 28, 1961. That was the last time the Texans had been a .500 team before the monumental victory up in Wichita Falls.

A few days after defeating the Mustangs, Tarleton downed Cameron 76-52 in Stephenville to earn its first winning record as a senior college. Heading into Saturday's contest, the Texans are now 730-725 all-time as a senior college.

Give me 20!
Tarleton won its 20th game of the season last Wednesday, giving head coach Lonn Reisman his 15th career 20-win season and his fifth in-a-row. Under Reisman, the Texans have averaged a little more than 21 wins per season over the past 26 years.

60 Percent or better
With last Saturday's season-high 65.4 percent effort from the field, it marked the fourth time this season that a Texan team shot at least 60 percent or better from the field. The Texans had only shot 60 percent or better in one game over the previous five seasons.

The 65.4 percent is not only a season-high for the Texans, but it marks the highest field goal percentage from a Texan team since knocking down 69.2 percent against Hillsdale Baptist well over 10 years ago, back on Dec. 15, 2003. It is the third-highest shooting percentage under a Lonn Reisman-coached team.

Securing the LSC
A win over Eastern New Mexico on Saturday would give the Texans at least a share of the Lone Star Conference Championship. Should Midwestern State fall to Texas A&M-Kingsville, the Texans would win the conference championship outright on Saturday and would secure the No. 1 seed as well.

Should the Texans and Mustangs finish the season tied with the same conference record, Tarleton currently holds the tie-breaker for the No. 1 seed with its regular-season sweep over Angelo State.

Up next for the Texans
Tarleton will return to Wisdom Gym for its last regular-season home game against Lubbock Christian before hitting the road for Commerce next Saturday to play in its 2013-14 regular-season finale.

Tuesday night's contest against the Chaps will mark Senior Night for five Texan seniors: Chuck Guy, Coleman Furst, Davin Riebock, Jon Cathey-Macklin, and De'Andre Upchurch.
