LAST TIME OUT
The TexAnns are coming off a five-set loss in Wisdom Gym Tuesday night at the hands of Texas Woman's. After leading the match 2-1, Tarleton errors provided the TexAnns some trouble in the fourth and fifth sets as TWU came back to win in five.

TARLETON vs KINGSVILLE
This is the 41st all-time meeting between the TexAnns and Javelinas dating back to the inaugural meeting in 1985 – and the all-time series is an even split at 20-20. Tarleton has been in control of the series since 2006, winning nine of the last 12 meetings including three straight. Kingsville hasn't won consecutive games against Tarleton since the 2005 season.

GIVE ME FIVE
Tarleton State has played five sets in seven of the first 10 games this season and is now 5-2 in five-set matches. This is the most five-set games Tarleton has played through the first 10 games of the season, trumping the four five-setters played over the beginning of the 2011 season.

LEADING THE COUNTRY IN BLOCKS
Tarleton is the national leader in total blocks through 10 games this season. In addition to being named the LSC Defensive Player of the Week, Kenya Alexander has also earned national recognition for her blocking in the middle of the TexAnn rotation. Alexander is seventh in the nation in blocks per set and is leading the country in total blocks. She has recorded double-digit blocks in two games this season.

TEXANNS MAKING OTHER NATIONAL NOISE
In addition to leading the nation in blocks, Tarleton State has also cracked the top-50 in six other categories and the top-5 in four. Tarleton is 45th in the nation in total attacks and 33rd in blocks per set, while checking in at No. 3 in the nation in total assists, total digs and total kills. The TexAnns are second in the nation in total attacks.

Behind Alexander in the individual rankings are Hailey Roberts and Katie Covell. Roberts, a true freshman from Cedar Park, is 46th in the nation in attacks per set, 35th in the nation in total aces, 30th in points per set and cracked the national top-10 in total attacks (8) and total kills (4). Covell, meanwhile, is fifth in the nation in digs in her first season as the libero.

UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
The TexAnns will play their third straight home game on Tuesday night when they host regional foe, Southeastern Oklahoma, in a 7 p.m. game in Wisdom Gym.
