TARLETON vs OKLAHOMA PANHANDLE
Saturday marks the fourth all-time meeting between Tarleton and Oklahoma Panhandle and first since 1992. The Aggies hold a 2-1 lead in the series.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Tarleton and Oklahoma Panhandle first met in 1985 with a September 7 meeting in Stephenville. The Aggies won a 12-0 shutout in the inaugural meeting. The teams met again the next season in Muskogee and again Tarleton fell in a 27-12 loss. The teams took a six-year hiatus from playing each other before meeting back in Stephenville on Sept. 19, 1992, when the Texans earned their first win in the series 31-7. It has been 23 years since the last meeting.

TEXANS UNDER FOWLER
The Texans are now 28-30 under head coach Cary Fowler and have one Lone Star Conference championship to their credit in his tenure. Fowler's first LSC championship is the third LSC championship for the Texans in school history. Fowler is 24-22 against LSC opponents, including 1-1 in the LSC playoffs which are against LSC opponents but do not count as conference contests, and 4-8 overall against non-conference schools.

TEXANS IN THE LSC
The Texans are 104-141 (.424) all-time in Lone Star Conference contests.

VARNADO ON A ROLL
Chase Varnado has recorded at least five tackles from the defensive end position in seven straight games and eight of the last 10 games, dating back to Oct. 18, 2014. He had a career-high 11 last week against Eastern New Mexico.

RECORD TRACKER: BLAKE BARNES

• PAT Att: Barnes is the all-time leader for extra points attempted with 155 in his career.
• FG Made: Entering Saturday's game with 46 career field goals, he is second all-time. Barnes is 14 field goals away from becoming the all-time leader and passing Boren (59).

Entering his senior season, Le'Nard Meyers will look to etch his name into the all-time receiving records.

• 100-Yard Receiving Games: Meyers moved into a tie for second place all-time with nine 100-yard receiving efforts, joining his former teammate Clifton Rhodes III. The all-time record is 10 by Devin Guinn from 2006-09.
