INSIDE THE SERIES
Tarleton and Angelo State have a history that enters its 50th year this season, dating back to 1965. The teams met on a yearly basis from 1965 to 1975 with Tarleton trailing 3-8. The series picked back up as an NCAA rivalry in 1994 and the Rams picked up where they left off by winning six of seven through the year 2000. Tarleton took control of the series in dominant fashion in 2001 with a 41-7 win in Stephenville on Oct. 27 for the first of 12 wins in a row for the Texans through 2013. The Rams squeaked out a 34-31 win last season.
