THE GAME
Tarleton will close out the 2015 football season Saturday afternoon in Stephenville with a noon kick-off against Oklahoma Panhandle State in the second game of the LSC Playoff System.
Â
ABOUT THE LSC PLAYOFFS
This will be the second season of the LSC Playoff System. The conference playoffs seed all seven LSC schools with the top four teams going into the championship bracket and the bottom three, along with Oklahoma Panhandle, going into the consolation bracket. The playoff system considers the games as postseason but this playoff system is separate from the NCAA National Playoffs. Also, the games played in the LSC Playoffs, while against LSC opponents, do not count towards the teams' LSC records.
Â

The teams met again the next season in Muskogee and again Tarleton fell in a 27-12 loss. The teams took a six-year hiatus from playing each other before meeting back in Stephenville on Sept. 19, 1992, when the Texans earned their first win in the series 31-7. Earlier this season, the teams took the field against each other for the first time in 23 years and it was a record-setting night for the Texans. Tarleton broke the school record with 84 points in a game to rout the Aggies 84-47.
