Tarleton is 5-5 on the season and tied for second in the Lone Star Conference with a 5-3 league record. The Texans are averaging 28.7 points per game while holding opponents to 25 points per contest. Cody Burtscher leads the LSC with 109 tackles. Burtscher also has 4.5 sacks to go along with three interceptions.
Chase Varnado has eight sacks on the year, ranking second in the LSC while
EJ Speed leads the nation with five forced fumbles to go with six sacks.
Dominique Martin leads the LSC with five interceptions, including two last week against Midwestern State.

ABOUT THE LIONS
Texas A&M-Commerece is ranked No. 8 in the AFCA poll and is 9-1 overall and 7-1 in the LSC. The Lions are playing for a LSC title with a win. TAMUC is 3-1 at home this season and has won four straight games since falling to Midwestern State back on October 8. The Lions are averaging 463 yards per game (310 pass, 153 rush) while putting up 42 points per game and holding opponents to just 19 points. Quarterback Luis Perez has thrown for an LSC-best 2,528 yards and 26 touchdowns to go with only three interceptions. Lance Evans is the team-leader with 556 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. Running back Richard Cooper has 958 yards on the season and seven touchdowns. Tavita Faalu is the defensive leader in sacks with four while Brucks Saathoff has a team-high 46 tackles.
