THE GAME
Tarleton, the No. 7 seed at the Elite Eight, is facing No. 2 Augustana (S.D.) at 6 p.m. at the Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco.

THE BROADCAST
Each game will have a live radio broadcast presented by the Tarleton Sports Network presented by North Texas Ford Dealers. The Voice of the Texans, Casey Hogan, will be calling the play-by-play for Tarleton basketball. The radio broadcast can be heard on KTRL 90.5 FM in Stephenville and surrounding areas or online at TarletonSports.com/ListenLive. Hogan will provide a 30-minute pregame show and visit with Augustana head coach Tom Billeter and Tarleton associate head coach Chris Reisman.

THE OPPONENT
Augustana is ranked No. 2 in the nation and is making its first Elite Eight appearance. The Vikings are 31-2 on the season and 21-1 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. Augustana averaged 90.9 points per game and is led by a pair of All-Americans, Daniel Jansen (20.7 points, 7.4 rebounds) and Casey Schillings (19.7 points, 9.4 rebounds).

LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton won its second straight South Central Regional Championship with a 77-72 win over Angelo State. Romond Jenkins was named the Tournaments Most Outstanding Player with Michael Hardge and Malcolm Hamilton joining Jenkins on the All-Tournament Team.

NCAA TOURNAMENT
Tarleton is making its 13th NCAA Tournament appearance all time and its seventh straight. Tarleton made its first tournament appearance in 2002 and in that stretch has won four regional championships and reached the Final Four twice. The Texans are the only team to make it back to the Elite Eight.

CLOSING IN ON 1,000
Michael Hardge enters the Elite Eight with 980 career points. The 4-year guard would become the 16th player in Tarleton history to reach 1,000 career points and the first since John Davis in 2007.

500-POINT CLUB
EJ Reed has scored 553 points this season and is one of four players in the last 10 season to score 500 points in a season. Reed joins Mo Lee (530 in 2015), De'Andre Upchurch (545 in 2014), and John Davis (555 in 2007) to reach the mark. Reed is tied with Brandon Burney and Chris Givens for 10th most points in a season. Next on the list is John Davis with 555 points.

GETTING TO THE LINE
Michael Hardge has made 152 free throws this season, which is the fourth most in a season in school history. Hardge made 143 last season. Mo Lee holds the record with 184 in 2015. Hardge also set the school record for free-throw attempts in a season with 232.

SINGLE SEASON SWATS
Xavier Smith has 68 blocks in his first season with Tarleton. The junior forward is tied with Sean Walker and Mark Smith for 5th all-time in a season. Smith's 68 blocks also rank 11th all time in a career. Vincent Bridgewater holds the record with 81 in a season.
