AT A GLANCE
Tarleton is hosting the 2016 TexAnn Invitational, which will take place on Sept. 8-10. Tarleton will take on Lubbock Christian on Thursday at 7 p.m. for it home opener. The TexAnns will play four games in the tournament. It's the first tournament Tarleton has hosted since 2012.
 
THE GAMES
Tarleton opens the tournament against Lubbock Christian on Thursday at 7 p.m. for the only game of the day. The TexAnns will face Arkansas-Monticello on Friday at 2:30 p.m. and Corloardo Mesa at 7:30 p.m. Tarleton will close out the tournament with a game against Colorado Christian on Saturday at 5 p.m.

THE OPPONENT: LUBBOCK CHRISTIAN
Lubbock Christian is 3-2 on the season. Tarleton is 10-17 all-time against LCU and 3-5 at home. The TexAnns haven't hosted LCU since 1994, where Tarleton won 3-1.
 
THE OPPONENT: ARKANSAS-MONTICELLO
Arkansas-Monticello is 0-4 on the year after playing in the Nova Southeastern Invitational to open the season. Tarleton is 2-0 all-time against UAM, winning its 2010 matchup 3-1 and 3-2 most recently in 2014. It's the first home meeting for Tarleton against UAM.
 
THE OPPONENT: COLORADO MESA
Colorado Mesa is 2-2 on the year, having won two straight to close out the Oredigger Classic. Tarleton is 0-2 all-time against CMU, having lost a pair of neutral site games 0-3 in 2013 and 2-3 in 2015. This is the first home meeting for Tarleton against CMU.
 
THE OPPONENT: COLORADO CHRISTIAN
Colorado Christian is 2-2 on the year, having played in the Concordia Irvine tournament. Tarleton is 0-2 all-time against Colorado Christian, and this will be the first matchup since 1996.
 
RECORD START
The TexAnns are 4-0 to start the season. It's the second consecutive four-game perfect opening to a season and just the third time since 2000 to start with four straight wins. With three sweeps in the first four matches of the season, Tarleton won 12 of the 13 sets played so far this season. It marks the first time since 1986 that Tarleton opened the season with just one set loss in the first four matches. The 1986 team, which started 5-0, won their first match 2-1 before reeling off four straight sweeps of 3-0, 2-0, 2-0, and 2-0.
