MATCH DAY: Oct. 19-20 vs. Eastern New Mexico, West Texas A&M

No. 13 Tarleton returns home for a pair of weekend LSC matches

AT A GLANCE
After three straight matches on the road, No. 13 Tarleton returns home in the midst of an 18-match winning streak to take on Eastern New Mexico and West Texas A&M for homecoming weekend. Tarleton will face Eastern New Mexico on Friday, October 19 at 6 p.m. and West Texas A&M on Saturday, October 20 at noon.

NATIONAL SPOTLIGHT
Tarleton moved up two spots to No. 13 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll. Tarleton is one of two Lone Star Conference schools in the top 25, joining Texas A&M-Commerce who is ranked 22nd. Tarleton has been ranked in every poll since the final ranking of the 2016 season, which is 24 consecutive weeks in the national spotlight.
 
ABOUT TARLETON
Tarleton enters the weekend leading the way in the Lone Star Conference standings with an 21-2 record overall and a 13-0 mark in the league. Tarleton is also among the national leaders in blocks per set (3.05) which ranks second in the nation and also the conference leader in hit percentage (.241). Adriana Darthuy leads the team with 239 kills while Hannah McManus, a two-time LSC Defensive Player of the Week, ranks second in the nation with 1.47 blocks per set. Blanca Izquierdo, also a two-time LSC Setter of the Week, is leading the team with 472 assists and Adrianna Knutson leads in digs with 367.
 
DIGGING FOR A MILESTONE
Adrianna Knutson, Tarleton's senior libero, is currently chasing down the all-time mark for digs at Tarleton State University. Knutson enters this weekend with 1,783 career digs and recently passed Emily Klein (1,656) for No. 2 in program history. She is 65 digs away from passing Shea McBrearty (1,847) for the all-time lead.
 
CRACKING THE TARLETON TOP 10
Hannah McManus is making her own history at Tarleton as the senior middle blocker enters the weekend having recently passed Lacey Adkisson for sixth place on the all-time total blocks list with 356. She is also second all-time in assisted blocks with 295 having recently passed Kenya Alexander. McManus needs 40 assisted blocks to pass Marissa Galich (334) for first on the all-time list.
 
SERIES HISTORY: EASTERN NEW MEXICO
Tarleton and Eastern New Mexico are meeting for the 49th time since they first played in 1985. Eastern New Mexico holds a slim lead in the standings, 25-23, but Tarleton has won 10 straight against the Greyhounds and 24 of the last 26. Tarleton is 15-10 at home against the Greyhounds.
 
SERIES HISTORY: WEST TEXAS A&M
Tarleton and West Texas are meeting for the 56th time in program history since they first met in 1981. West Texas A&M holds the series lead at 45-10, but Tarleton won the first match this season and has won eight of the last 10 matches against the Lady Buffs. The TexAnns have won four straight matches at home against WT.

Tarleton will travel to Texas A&M-Kingsville for a match on Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m.
