DENVER – Tarleton had 42 student athletes across five fall and winter sports receive Academic All-Western Athletic Conference credentials on Thursday.
To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade-point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests.
Tarleton football led the way with 14 honorees. The Texans' women's cross country and track and field program also posted double-digit award-winners with 10.
