STEPHENVILLE, Texas – In one of the best seasons in Tarleton State Athletics' history, with seven conference titles already in hand, the Texans also posted their best semester on record in the classroom.
Tarleton State Athletics earned a 3.32 GPA as a unit, a new department-wide record for the nearly 400 Tarleton State student-athletes. The Texans surpassed their previous best 3.30 GPA set in Spring 2025.
Like last semester, Tarleton State had six programs either set or tie GPA records. Texan Women's Tennis posted a department-wide best and team-record 3.88 GPA, with all nine student-athletes posting at least a 3.5 GPA. Texan Beach Volleyball had a record 3.82 GPA, along with Texan Volleyball (3.75), Texan Men's Golf (3.75), Texan Baseball (3.62, tied) and Texan Men's Basketball (3.13).
Over 25 percent of Tarleton State's student-athletes posted a perfect 4.0 this semester, over 55 percent posted a 3.5+ GPA, and over 80 percent earned a 3.0+ GPA.
