– Tarleton State closes its two-match road trip in Utah against Southern Utah on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Thunderbirds Soccer Complex.

    Mikayla Kendall became the first goalkeeper in the WAC and in program history to eclipse the 100-save mark on Thursday at Utah Tech. She is also the sixth D1 Women's soccer goalie to accomplish the feat. Kendall leads the WAC with 104 and averages a league-best 7.07 saves per game. She has over 20 more saves than the next WAC goalie. She is also second in save percentage at .785. The Orange, CA native would rank sixth in total saves in the nation and eighth in saves per game, but due to Tarleton in its final year of reclassification Texans are ineligible for the list.

    Avery Harr notched a pair of shots on goal against Utah Tech to tie Tarleton's single season SOG record of 15 that she set herself last season.
Rylee Low's four goals and eight points leads the Texans offensive attack. She ranks eighth in the WAC in total goals and tenth in goals per game (.26).
Mila Bettinelli ranks in the top 10 in three career statistical categories (goals, points per game, and goals per game) among active players in the WAC.

Rylee Low remain as the only Texans to have started in all 33 games in program history.

    Sydney Rouillard was one of 23 WAC Athletes among every sport in all 11 institutions to be named a WAC Student-Athlete Emerging Leader on Sept. 28.

    As a unit, Tarleton ranks fifth in the WAC in shutouts (4). The Texans also rank second in fewest fouls called per game (6.73) and lead the WAC in saves per game (7.06).

    Head coach
Pete Cuadrado has totaled 178 wins in his 21 seasons of coaching across North Dakota State, Wyoming and Tarleton State. In all 21 seasons, Cuadrado has only had one other goalie produce more than 100 saves in a season.

    Last season, the Thunderbirds got the best of the Texans in Stephenville, 1-0, on Sept. 25.

    The Southern Utah Thunderbirds (2-8-5) opened their week on Thursday against ACU with a 3-2 victory. Ashley Rivera broke a 2-2 tie in the 85th minute to give SUU the victory. Both of the Thunderbirds ' wins this season have came against Texas teams in which they are 2-1 against.

    Whitney Gardner leads So. Utah with four goals, five assists, 13 points and 17 SOG. She is also one of two players to have started all 15 matches. In goal, Julie Edwards has made 15 starts totaling 80 saves and a 2.24 GAA.

    Kai Edwards is in his tenth season as a head coach and his fourth at SUU. He led the Thunderbirds to their most wins all time last season (nine).

    Tarleton State will return home for a pair of games next week. The Texans will host California Baptist on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Tarleton Soccer Complex for Pups at the Pitch. On Sunday,
Macie Witter will be honored in her final home game as a Texan before a 1 p.m. kick against Grand Canyon.
