STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Four student-athletes from Tarleton Volleyball were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team on Dec. 17, CSC announced.
 

Megan Hodges, Emma Burke, Emma Halcomb, and Allison Bryant were recognized on Tuesday for their superior efforts both on and off the court.
 

To be selected for these honors, student-athletes must play in 90 percent of matches while maintaining a 3.50 grade point average. The committee awards honors to student-athletes based off their accomplishments on and off the court, as well as extracurricular activities.
 

Hodges is a biomedical science major from Celina, Texas. The setter finished her junior year at Tarleton Volleyball posting 722 assists and 6.39 assists per set, ranking among the conference leaderboard in both categories. Hodges also became the eighth player in program history to reach 2,000 career assists.
 

Burke, a nursing major from Godley, Texas, finished her junior year at Tarleton this fall. During the season, the middle blocker registered 206 kills on a .280 attack percentage and 118 blocks. She ranked among the WAC top-ten in both total blocks and attack percentage.
 

Halcomb is a graduate marketing major looking to obtain her second degree at Tarleton State University. The Highland Village, Texas, native had a career-high 461 digs and 4.15 digs per set. She accumulated two WAC Libero of the Week awards and ranked second in total digs across the conference.
 

Bryant, a business major from Kelseyville, California, finished her senior season at Tarleton State this fall. She set the program's D1 era record for most kills in a single season with 406 and also notched 242 digs alongside her historic kill total. Bryant was awarded WAC Player of the Week honors during week five of the season and ranked among the conference top-ten for total kills and points.
 

Following the completion of the Fall 2024 season, Tarleton State Volleyball will begin a new era under first-year Head Coach Jazmyne Johnson.
