GLEN ROSE, Texas – Tarleton State Athletics hosted the 34th Annual Perry Elliott Plowboy Shootout, sponsored by First Financial Bank, on Friday at Squaw Valley Golf Course in Glen Rose, Texas.
 
Played at Squaw Valley for the first time, there was a single tee time with 40 teams competing across two courses at Tarleton State Athletics' annual fundraiser golf tournament, beginning at 9 a.m.
 
"A golf tournament that has been held for 34 years is a remarkable accomplishment, and it's easy to see why this event is such a success year after year," Vice President and Director of Athletics Steve Uryasz said. "It's a great day to connect some of our best fans and supporters with our staff and coaches, and it was a great day in Glen Rose. Thank you to everyone who participated and had a hand in making this another special year of the Perry Elliott Plowboy Shootout."
 
The teams competed in a scramble and had the chance to win prizes for 'Longest Drive', 'Closest to the Pin', and a hole-in-one shot on each of the two courses. All participants enjoyed breakfast courtesy of Sodexo, lunch courtesy of Peacock's, and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages courtesy of Hellas Construction. For the first time, there was also a live auction after the round, presented by Focused Care Partners.
 
The top three teams on each course were awarded prizes for their victory.
