STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Tarleton State Women's Golf head coach Isabel Jimenez announced the signing of the newest Texan Natalia Fiel Rios.
Fiel Ros is a Valencia, Spain, native, who spent her first collegiate season at Kansas State. She will join the Texan roster as a sophomore and look to contribute immediately as part of the fall roster.
"We are incredibly excited about adding Natalia to our team," said coach Jimenez. "She brings a great deal of talent and experience to our program. We can't wait to see all she will accomplish here at Tarleton State."
As a Wildcat, she played in one tournament in her first season. She finished tied for 25
th at the Powercat Invitational. The freshman shot a 230 in the 54-hole event with her best round as a 75.
As an amateur in Spain, Fiel Ros was ranked in the top 10 among U18 golfers. She shot a 220 with a low round of 69 to win the 2023 Copa de la Comunidad Valenciana. She also placed fourth at the Spanish International Stroke Play in 2022. She posted a pair of top finishes with a top 15 performance at the European Ladies Amateur Championship and a top 20 showing at the R&A Girls Amateur Championship. She also played as a member of the Blume National School, an elite high-performance program for athletes in Spain.
She was a class of 2023 high school graduate from Aula3. Natalia is the daughter of Rafael and Berta, and she has one brother, Lucas. While at Tarleton State, she intends to major in psychology.
Tarleton State Women's Golf will open their 2025 fall slate on Sept. 8-9 at The Southern. The two day, 54-hole event is hosted by Georgia Southern at the Forest Heights Country Club. It will mark the Texans first trip to the state of Georgia in their Division I era.
