STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Tarleton State Women's Golf head coach
Isabel Jimenez has announced the signing of one of the top golfers in Argentina, Lucila Quiroga, on Monday afternoon.
Quiroga hails from Buenos Aires, Argentina. She will be second first golfer from Argentina to play for coach Jimenez. She attended Instituto San Jose and intends to major in sports management at Tarleton State. She graduated in the fall of December and plans to attend Tarleton State starting in the fall of 2026. Quiroga will join a pair of fall signees, Filippa Mortensen and Yanin Konthawornwong.
"We're thrilled to add Lucila to our roster," said head coach Jimenez. "Lucila is a hardworking player with a lot of upside. Beyond her golf abilities, she brings a strong work ethic, a competitive mindset, and a genuine passion for the game. We believe she'll grow quickly within our program, and we are excited to welcome her into our team and university in Fall 26."
Since the fall of October 2024 she has notched four individual titles and been a part of two team championships. She ended 2025 as the sixth-ranked U18 golfer in Argentina. Most recently she placed fourth at the Brazilian Junior Championship in January. She took home the individual crown at the 13th Regional Tournament last October shooting a two-under, 70. She also won the May Regional Junior Tournament shooting an even par, 72. Last October, she helped her team to a title at the National Inter Club Team Championship.

She is the daughter of Diego and Mariea Quiroga. She has one sister, Melina. She will come to Stephenville ahead of the fall semester to start for the Texans in the fall 2026 season.
Tarleton State Women's Golf is set to continue its season at the NCAA Waco Regional next Monday. The Texans are one of 12 teams to earn a spot at Ridgewood Country Club. The Texans earned the 11th seed for the second-consecutive season after back-to-back WAC team championships.
