Tarleton State Track and Field's annual Joe Gillespie Invitational will be in Stephenville Friday-Saturday at the Tarleton State Track and Field Complex. Texan Baseball will also be home this weekend, hosting California Baptist on Friday at 6 p.m., Saturday at 3 p.m. and Sunday at 12 p.m. Postseason play begins for Texan Tennis this weekend, with the WAC Tournament in Arlington. The Texans will face UT Arlington in the WAC Tournament Semifinals on Friday at 10 a.m., and the winner of that match will take on either Abilene Christian or Utah Tech in the WAC Tournament championship on Saturday at 10 a.m.

TEXAN TRACK AND FIELD'S annual home meet, the Joe Gillespie Invitational, will be Friday and Saturday at the Tarleton State Track and Field Complex in Stephenville. The meet schedule features a 1 p.m. start on Friday for field events and running events that start at 5 p.m. Then on Saturday, field events start at 8 a.m. and running events starts at 11 a.m. Tarleton State will honor its seniors at 5:20 p.m., with the final event scheduled for 6:15 p.m. Both days of the meet will be free for all to attend, plus there will be Tarleton State Women's Track and Field WAC champion posters available for first arriving fans.

TEXAN BASEBALL will play four games this week, a Tuesday road game at TCU at 6 p.m., then a three-game home series against California Baptist Friday-Sunday, with game times at 6 p.m. Friday, 3 p.m. Saturday and 12 p.m. Sunday. The Texans at Horned Frogs game will mark the third of four Big 12 games the Texans will play this season. Tarleton State has defeated Baylor twice, one on the road and one at home, and the Texans will also play at Texas Tech on April 21. Tarleton State will then host the Lancers following a WAC series win for the Purple and White over ACU this past weekend. CBU leads the WAC through the first two conference series at 4-2, with Tarleton State one game back at 3-3. At Friday's game, Tarleton State will be giving away baseball rubber ducks, then the Texans will be giving away beverage bats on Saturday, with the first fill courtesy of head coach Fuller Smith.

TEXAN TENNIS will play in the WAC Tournament at the Arlington Tennis Center in Arlington, Texas, this weekend. The 1-seed Texans will face the 4-seed UTA Lady Mavericks on Friday at 10 a.m. in the WAC Tournament Semifinals. The winner of that match will face the winner of 2-seed Abilene Christian and 3-seed Utah Tech. The WAC Tournament championship match will be Saturday at 10 a.m. Tarleton State is aiming for its first conference tournament championship in its short D1 history. The Texans earned the 1-seed after going 15-7 overall in the regular season, with a 3-0 mark against the other WAC programs.

TEXAN SOFTBALL will take its four-game winning streak to Orem, Utah, to face Utah Valley in conference play. Those games are set for a Friday doubleheader at 5 p.m. CT and 7:30 p.m. CT, then the finale on Saturday at 1 p.m. CT. The Wolverines are 25-16 overall and 6-6 in WAC play. Tarleton State just swept Southern Utah at home after a 6-1 home win against North Texas on Wednesday. The Texans are now 28-17 overall and 6-3 in WAC play.

TEXAN VOLLEYBALL will play its final spring matches, both at home, first against Ranger College on Tuesday at 6 p.m., then on Sunday at 11 a.m. against Texas Tech at Wisdom Gym. Both matches are free for fans to attend.

TICKETS are available for all of the upcoming home events online at TarletonSports.com/tickets. The Tarleton State Ticket Office is located on the west side entrance of Memorial Stadium. Regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. All Tarleton State students receive free admission through the Corq App. All admission to soccer, tennis, beach volleyball, golf and track and field events are free.
