Tarleton State Men’s Basketball adds Elon transfer Isaac Harrell

STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Tarleton State Men's basketball head coach Eric Haut announced his third transfer portal signing, Isaac Harrell a 6-7 forward from Elon, on Wednesday afternoon.

Harrell heads to Stephenville for his senior collegiate season after spending his first three all at Elon. Originally from Jonesboro, Ark., he is a class 2023 graduate of Jonesboro High School. The incoming senior will join returner Kade Douglas and incoming transfer Caleb Blackwell as seniors for the 2026-27 season. The roster also features returner Matyas Vrabel and transfer Franck Emmou.

"Isaac's ability to stretch the floor and consistently knock down shots from range makes him an immediate offensive asset," said Haut. "At 6-7, Isaac combines size and skill in a way that creates matchup problems and provides the spacing we value within our system. His length not only impacts the game offensively, but also allows him to be effective on the glass and contribute as a rebounder on both ends of the floor. Beyond his physical tools, Isaac's high basketball IQ stands out—he understands the game, makes the right reads, and plays with great awareness. He's also a strong student, and he's been well supported throughout his journey by his parents, Chris and Polly. We're excited about the impact Isaac will have on our program and the way his skill set fits our style of play."

I have full trust in the coaching staff and my teammates to put us in a position to compete for a conference championship at the end of the season!"
