STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Tarleton State Soccer's 2026 campaign kicks off Wednesday on the road, and the Texans are about a week away from their home opener, set for Aug. 20 in Stephenville. On Tuesday, the Texans announced their promotional schedule for the 2026 campaign.
 
The Texans will open head coach Erik Solberg's debut season at Tarleton State with a Back 2 School Bash on Aug. 20, as the Texans host UTEP at 7 p.m. The first arriving fans will receive free food, catered by Sodexo, and all can enjoy a fun pregame environment, with a DJ and tailgate games right outside of the Tarleton State Soccer Complex. After the match, the Texans will host a poster autograph session.
 
On Thursday, Aug. 27 at 7 p.m., Tarleton State will celebrate National Burger Day by hosting a Grump's catering truck. The first arriving fans will receive a free Grump's burger before the Texans take on UTRGV.
 
On Sunday, Aug. 30 at 5 p.m., it will be Military Appreciation in Stephenville, with the Tarleton State Corps of Cadets leading the pregame festivities. The Texans will battle former conference foe Lamar on the pitch.
 
On Thursday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m., it is Greek Life Night, as Tarleton State welcomes all fraternities and sororities to its match against Texas Southern. Further details will be announced as the match gets closer.
 
Conference play begins in Stephenville on Sunday, Sept. 27, with the Texans hosting Abilene Christian at 1 p.m. It will be a Purple Out on the pitch, and Tarleton State will give away purple vuvuzelas to first arriving fans.
 
On Thursday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m., Tarleton State will host its Fourth Annual Soctoberfest, presented by Niccoya. First arriving fans will receive boot shaped beer steins, along with a complimentary first drink. There will also be a DJ, and plenty of fall decorations to make this one of the best events of the year. The Texans will host conference foe West Georgia in Stephenville.
 
On Sunday, Oct. 18 at 1 p.m., the Texans will host a Pink Out against Eastern Kentucky for a Breast Cancer Awareness match. Tarleton State will give away pink wristbands and ribbons to fans in attendance.
 
On Sunday, Oct. 25 at 1 p.m., it will be Halloween at the Pitch, as Tarleton State hosts Little Rock. There will be plenty of Halloween decorations, a costume contest, and free candy for folks in the spirit of the holiday.
 
On Sunday, Nov. 1 at 1 p.m., the Texans will host their home opener and honor their senior class on Senior Day as they take on Central Arkansas.
 
Tarleton State will play 19 regular season games in total, and nine in Stephenville. All games at the Tarleton State Soccer Complex are free entry once again this season.
