TexAnns down Cameron 3-2 on Saturday

Rachel Wolf recorded her fifth double-double of the season in Tarleton's 3-2 win over Cameron on Saturday.
 
STEPHENVILLE – Rachel Wolf and Jessie Hartman both recorded double-doubles as the Tarleton TexAnns downed Cameron (22-25, 26-24, 25-20, 17-25, 15-4) in five sets at Wisdom Gym on Saturday.
 
Wolf recorded her fifth double-double of the season while putting down a career-high 19 kills and posting 14 digs. This was Hartman's sixth double-double of the season as the sophomore setter assisted with 57 of Tarleton's 60 kills and tallied 12 digs on the day.
 
The TexAnns, 8-15 on the season overall, improved to 3-3 in the Lone Star Conference while the Aggies fell to 13-8 and 1-4 in LSC play.
 
The TexAnns led 18-14 late in the first set, but an 8-2 run from the Aggies put Cameron on top 22-20. Cameron went on to win three of the next five points to win the first set, 25-22.
 
Neither team led by more than five points in the second set as Tarleton pulled out the win, 26-24. The TexAnns kept the momentum in their favor in the third set, downing the Aggies, 25-20, to go up 2-1.
 
Cameron didn't make it easy for the TexAnns, taking the fourth set 25-17. Tarleton regrouped and dominated the fifth and final set, allowing the Aggies to net just four points on the way to a 15-4 win.
 
Shay Gracy knocked down 13 kills and tallied a season-high seven blocks on the afternoon, while Erin Lynn came one kill away from posting a double-digit total, finishing with nine kills. Shea McBrearty led the TexAnns defensively with 25 digs.
 
Cameron's Lindsay Paziuk led the Aggies with 16 kills, while two different Aggie players totaled 18 digs each.
 
The TexAnns return to action this Thursday, Oct. 15, with a road match against East Central. First service is set for 7 p.m. in Ada, Okla.
