STEPHENVILLE - The Tarleton women's tennis team will open the 2009 fall season today at Potishman-Lard Tennis Courts on the Tarleton State campus, weather permitting.  

The TexAnns will take on Temple College in a match that was originally scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 12, but was postponed due to inclement weather.

The TexAnns return three players from last season's squad that went to the NCAA South Central regional final match.  Seniors Jade Charlot and Evgeniya Prokofeva return this season along with junior Adriana Jaskova.  New to the squad are transfers Mariana Freitas, a junior, and Rocio Cabanillas, a sophomore, along with incoming freshman Carde Julen.

The match is set to begin at 1 p.m.
