Tarleton volleyball to host Texas A&M-Kingsville Thursday

STEPHENVILLE – The TexAnns will host the Javelinas of A&M-Kingsville Thursday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m.

As a team, Tarleton is hitting a .204 percentage, averaging 12.7 kills per game, 11.7 assists per game and 14.8 digs per game.

The offensive attack is led by Rachel Wolf, who has 241 kills on the year, followed by Flynn Harrell with 168 kills and Stacie Murrah with 143 kills.

Jessie Hartman pilots the team with 516 assists, while Danielle Barker contributing 259 assists.

Defensively, the TexAnns are led by senior Shea McBrearty, who has provided 306 digs this season, along with 30 service aces. Hartman is second on the team with 160 digs and Wolf is third with 143 digs. Catherine Cutbirth continues to lead a stout front line with 54 blocks, with Monica Hamel adding 46 blocks.

A&M-Kingsville is 9-9 on the season, with a 4-3 conference record. They have found success on the road, going 3-1 away from Kingsville.

The Javelinas are hitting a .152 percentage, averaging 11.6 kills per game, 10.7 assists per game, and 16.9 digs per game. Offensively, they are led by Amanda Waclecewezyk, who has 140 kills on the season, followed by Lauryn Lozano with 135 kills and Jess Morris with 125 kills.

Amanda Yeager leads the team with 307 assists, while also contributing 128 digs. Sandra Cul has recorded 235 assists as well for A&M-Kingsville.

Virginia Hernandez anchors the defense with a331 digs, averaging 5.43 per set, while Ali Insell has contributed 129 digs.

Thursday is Purple Out at Wisdom Gym, with the fan wearing the most purple getting a prize between games.
