TexAnns pick up fourth straight win at Central Oklahoma

EDMOND , Okla.– The Tarleton volleyball team traveled to Edmond, Okla. to take on the Bronchos, and took a decisive 3-1 victory over Central Oklahoma.

After dropping the first set 24-26, the TexAnns won three straight games 25-20, 25-17, 26-24.

Tarleton hit a .265 percentage as a team, pushing their overall record to 18-7, 5-4 in Lone Star Conference play.

The TexAnns received production from a plethora of sources offensively. Irelis Ilarraza led the charge with 18 kills, while Flynn Harrell added 12 kills. Rachel Wolf, Stacie Murrah, and Monica Hamel, who recorded six blocks, all had 10 kills each for Tarleton.

Jessie Hartman recorded 27 assists, with Danielle Barker providing 24 assists.

Shea McBrearty led the TexAnns with 19 digs, while Wolf contributed 11 digs of her own.

Central Oklahoma dropped to 6-4 in the conference, hitting just .217 in the match.

The Bronchos were anchored by Alex Richardson, who collected 17 kills, and Zuela Adom, who recorded 14 kills. Fleming Smurthwaite provided 47 assists, while Ginger Gowen led the way with 13 digs.

Tarleton heads to Southwestern Oklahoma Saturday, Oct. 23 for another chance to improve their standing in the conference.
