DENTON – The Tarleton volleyball team will continue their road trip with a match in Denton Thursday night at 7 p.m., as the TexAnns take on Texas Woman's University.
The TexAnns will look to rebound from a 1-3 record last weekend at the Washburn Classic. With a 14-5 overall record, Tarleton will need some consistency from its leaders to overcome the Pioneers.
Rachel Wolf leads the offense with 208 kills on the season, while
Flynn Harrell has contributed 150 kills and
Stacie Murrah has added 130 kills.
Danielle Barker has the highest hitting percentage on the team, with a .304 mark.
Jessie Hartman has 452 assists this year, averaging 6.75 per game for the TexAnns, with
Danielle Barker assisting 217 times.
Defensively,
Catherine Cutbirth has 50 blocks, while
Monica Hamel has 35 blocks, including 12 solos.
Shea McBrearty leads the team in both digs (264) and service aces (25), showing her double-threat talents for Tarleton.
As a team, the TexAnns are hitting a .197 percentage, and average 12.9 kills per game, 11.9 assists per game and 15.0 digs per game. They also have 101 service aces and 97 team blocks this season.
