TexAnns end regular season on positive note with 3-0 sweep at Cameron

LAWTON, OKLA. – The TexAnn volleyball team pummeled the Aggies of Cameron 3-0 Saturday in Lawton, Okla., ending the regular season with a 22-9 record overall.

Tarleton won the first game 25-12, and used that momentum to cruise through the next two sets 25-17 and 25-21.

Irelis Ilarraza led an offense that hit a .273 percentage with 11 kills, while Flynn Harrell contributed eight kills. Jessie Hartman and Danielle Barker collaborated on assists with 20 and 15 assists respectively.

Shea McBrearty recorded 18 digs on defense for the TexAnns, with Catherine Cutbirth, Monica Hamel and Ilarraza providing three blocks each.

The Aggies hit an abysmal .055 percentage on offense and failed to keep up with Tarleton throughout the match. Cameron was piloted by Jenna Risoli, who collected 18 assists, while Jenna Keeler led the Aggies with seven kills. Adrienne Lawson added 13 digs on defense.
