ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The No. 20 Tarleton TexAnn tennis team lost its match with No. 21 Drury in Arkadelphia, Ark. On Saturday. The Panthers downed the TexAnns by a score of 7-2.

The TexAnns dropped two of three doubles matches on the day. Rocio Cabanillas and Mariana Freitas lost to Katia Bon and Khrstsina Tryboi, 8-2, in No. 1 doubles, while Jade Charlot and Evgeniya Prokofeva fell to Pelagie Gamo and Abbey Sharpe, 8-0, in No. 2 doubles. Carole Julen and Adriana Jaskova picked up Tarleton's only win in doubles action, defeating Anna Lustig and Valentine Lambrechts, 8-4, in No. 3 doubles.

Freitas was the only TexAnn to win in singles play, earning a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Lustig. Jaskova fell 6-1, 6-1 to Bon; Cabanillas lost 6-1, 6-1 to Tryboi; Charlot dropped her set 6-0, 6-3 to Gamo; Julen fell 6-2, 6-1 to Sharpe; and Prokofeva lost 7-5, 2-6, 10-8 to Lambrechts.
