STEPHENVILLE - Tarleton State (13-8, 7-2) will wrap up its longest home stand of the season this week with three home games against Lone Star Conference rivals Texas Woman's, Angelo State and Abilene Christian.
The TexAnns open action Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Wisdom Gym against the Lady Pioneers of TWU.
Tarleton looks to avenge a 3-1 loss in Denton last Tuesday.
The TexAnns are coming off back-to-back home wins over Texas A&M-Kingsville and Incarnate Word while Texas Woman's (7-12, 5-5) fell to No. 14 West Texas A&M in Canyon Saturday.
Flynn Harrell leads the offensive attack for Tarleton with 279 kills this season, while Nikki McNorton (206) also topped the 200-mark in kills this season after a seven-kill performance Saturday.
The TexAnns enter Tuesday's match with a trio of defenders with over 200 digs each - Emily Klein (223), Harrell (216) and Jessie Hartman (215). Hartman also leads the TexAnns with 528 assists.
McNorton continues to be a threat at the net, amassing 126 total blocks this season, despite having just six assists in last Tuesday's match against TWU.
In Thursday's match, Tarleton hosts No. 18 Angelo State (20-2, 9-1) in a battle that could potentially help Tarleton overtake the Lady Rams for second place in the conference.
Angelo won the first meeting Sept. 8 in four sets and currently sit between Tarleton and West Texas A&M in the conference standings.
in the first match, Tarleton struggled to land kills against ASU posting 26 errors and only posting an .075 hit percentage for the match, while Angelo outscored Tarleton in service aces (10), digs (62) and hit percentage (.146).
In the final game of the home stand, Tarleton hosts Abilene Christian for the first meeting between the TexAnns and Wildcats this season.
ACU swept Tarleton in the lone match up last season in Abilene.
Saturday afternoon will be Pink Out to support breast cancer awareness. Delta Zeta will be on hand Thursday and Saturday with pink merchandise to support the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
