STEPHENVILLE - Tarleton State (14-12, 8-6) is entering the stretch run of the season and return home Thursday for the final home stand of the season.
The home stand begins after a Tuesday night affair on the road against Abilene Christian.
ACU rallied from a first set loss to the TexAnns in Stephenville Oct. 15 to claim a four-set victory over Tarleton and jump to third in the Lone Star Conference standings.
In the last meeting, the Wildcats landed 48 kills and committed just 16 errors on the match while Tarleton committed 28 errors as a unit.
Tarleton will be charged with slowing down the front line play of Jennie Hutt, who landed 18 kills in the last meeting.
The TexAnns were led last time by Flynn Harrell, Katie Covell and Nikki McNorton with 13, 12 and 12 kills respectively. McNorton has been in double digit kills the past three matches.
Thursday and Saturday, the TexAnns host a pair of conference rivals who are making a late season push into the middle of the standings.
Cameron, as of Monday, is riding a two-game winning streak while Saturday's opponent, Midwestern State, has a three-game upswing.
The Aggies are led in kills this season by Kelle Carver with 331 while Adrienne Lawson (301) has also topped the 300-mark. The offense will primarily run through setter Jenna Risoli, who leads the team with 898 of the team's 999 assists.
Midwestern State has rolled over conference foes over the past week, with the only close match a five-set win over Incarnate Word Oct. 20. MSU, however, is only 1-5 when playing away from Wichita Falls.
The 'Stangs are led by Miranda Byrd with 253 kills and Caitlin Wallace with 229. MSU uses a two-setter attack with Kristan Aduddell (513) and Kimberly Jeffrey (474) leading the way in assists.
Thursday's 7 p.m. match against Cameron is autograph night for the TexAnns while Saturday's 1 p.m. match against Midwestern State is 'Trick or Treat' day and all fans, especially children, are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes.
