INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Tarleton women's basketball team remained at No. 2 in the most recent South Central Regional poll released Wednesday.
It marks the fifth straight week that the TexAnns have been second in the region, after jumping to No. 2 on Feb. 2.
Tarleton is 24-3 on the season and is coming off a thrilling two-point victory over Southeastern Oklahoma in the first round of the LSC Tournament in Bartlesville, Okla.
Northeastern State remained at No. 1, while Northwest Missouri State, Washburn, and Southeastern State stayed in their same spots to round out the top five. Central Oklahoma came in at No. 6, West Texas A&M came in at No. 7 and Missouri Southern St. came in at No. 8. Emporia State placed No. 9 in the rankings, while Texas Woman's rounds out the top 10.
Tarleton takes their No. 2 ranking and faces the No. 6 regionally ranked team in Central Oklahoma Friday at 6 p.m. in Bartlesville, Okla.
