LAWTON, OKLA. – The Tarleton women's volleyball team defeated Cameron Thursday night in Lawton, Okla. with a 3-1 score.
The TexAnns won their fourth straight match and improve to 8-5 on the season. They also remain in third place in the Lone Star Conference with a 4-1 league record.
Tarleton got off to a slow start against the Aggies, dropping game one 25-17. That sparked the TexAnns though, who went on to dominate the next three games. Tarleton won game two 25-13, game three 25-20 and game four 25-15.
Stacie Murrah and Flynn Harrell both had 13 kills to lead the way offensively, while Jessie Hartman distributed the ball well with 24 assists.
Emily Klein recorded 21 digs, one of four TexAnns' with double digits in that category. Tarleton had three players with four blocks, Harrell, Nikki McNorton and Breawn Waynes.
As a team, the TexAnns hit a .242 percentage, while holding Cameron to just a .099 mark.
Tarleton returns to action Saturday when they head to Wichita Falls to take on Midwestern State at 2 p.m.
