LAST TIME OUT
The TexAnns are coming off a four-set win against regional opponent St. Edward's who had only lost two times prior to stepping in Wisdom Gym Tuesday. The win for Tarleton snapped a four-match win streak for the Hilltoppers bringing their overall record to 14-3 and dropping them to 1-5 against Tarleton since 2009.
TARLETON vs TEXAS A&M-KINGSVILLE
Friday is the 42nd all-time meeting between the TexAnns and Javelinas and Tarleton leads the all-time meeting 21-20, dating back to the inaugural meeting in 1985. The Javelinas jumped out to an early lead in the series (17-10), but Tarleton has reversed the trend of late by winning 10 of the last 14 meetings, including a sweep in Stephenville earlier this season.

Freshman setters
Emily Medlin (562) and
Chandler Gow (342) have combined for 904 assists. As a team, Tarleton is second in the LSC in total assists with 1,062 and fourth in the conference in assists per set at 11.93. Medlin and Gow's 904 assist are ranked second in the conference between any two setters on one team trailing only West Texas A&M.
BLOCK PARTY
Kenya Alexander and
Jasmyne Brown are leading the way for Tarleton State's surge to being one of the nation's top-blocking teams. Alexander is currently second in the nation in blocks per set and first in the nation in total blocks with 133 in 89 sets. Meanwhile, Brown is second on the team with 79 blocks of her own. As a team, Tarleton is second in the nation in blocks per set and tied for third in the nation in total team blocks.
TARLETON'S WINNING WAYS
The TexAnns enter Friday's match with a record of 18-5 riding a four-game winning streak. Tarleton has won eight of the last nine matches played dating back to a three-set win over Angelo State on October 3 in Wisdom Gym.

The TexAnns will have a week between games before returning home Oct. 31 for a 6 p.m. matchup with LSC rival, Eastern New Mexico, in Wisdom Gym.
