TARLETON vs WEST TEXAS A&M
Tarleton State has won two games over the past three seasons over the Lady Buffs, including a five-set thriller in Stephenville on Sept. 17, 2011 to snap West Texas A&M's 87-game conference winning streak which stretch from 2006-11. The next season, Tarleton earned another win to come from behind 0-2 in the match to knock off West Texas A&M in The Box for the first win in Canyon in school history. The defeat by the TexAnns is the last LSC loss for the Lady Buffs as they have won their last 34 league contests. West Texas A&M took both of the regular season meetings against Tarleton on September 26th in Canyon and November 1st in Wisdom Gym.

TEXANNS AND LADY BUFFS IN THE TOURNAMENT
The is the first match up against West Texas A&M in the LSC tournament since 2012 when Tarleton fell in three sets to the Lady Buffs. Tarleton and West Texas A&M have met in the LSC tournament five times under Schindler.

TARLETON IN THE TOURNAMENT
In the 10th year under head coach Mary Schindler, Tarleton State is making its eighth appearance – and the 10th appearance in the school's NCAA history. This is the sixth time in the 10 appearances Tarleton has advanced to the semifinals with all six of them coming in Schindler's eight trips as head coach.

WHAT'S AT STAKE
Tarleton is playing for a chance to play in the NCAA playoffs for the first time in school history. The TexAnns are currently the No. 6 team in the South Central region behind Colorado Mesa, Colorado Mines, Regis (Colo.) and West Texas A&M.  The top eight teams in the regional rankings at the end of conference tournament championship weekend will advance to the NCAA postseason. The conference tournament champions are guaranteed an automatic berth into the playoffs, which could affect the rankings if a non-regionally ranked team wins their respective tournament and earned the berth.

UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
With a win, Tarleton would advance to its first-ever LSC Tournament Championship game against the winner of Angelo State and Cameron. With a loss, Tarleton will return to Stephenville and await the NCAA tournament selection show to see if they are invited into the national playoffs for the first time in school history.
